Malibu Lighting

Malibu has been one of America's leading landscape lighting brands for over 40 years. Malibu lighting products were first sold in the 1960s by the International Register Company, now known as Intermatic. Today, the Malibu line is focused on solar lights and low-voltage outdoor lights, as well as mosquito freedom products and decorative waterfalls.

Malibu landscape lighting

Malibu's low-voltage landscape lights are ideal for do-it-yourself home designers. The strength of their lighting fixtures ranges from 4-watt lights to 50-watt halogen lights.

Malibu's low-voltage landscape lights are divided into four different use groups:

  • Malibu flood lights

Malibu flood lights can be used for home security or to beautify a landscape. Even dramatic evening pond lighting can be done with a Malibu submersible flood light.

  • Malibu garden lights

Malibu garden lights are available in a variety of decorative styles, including small bollard lights, cast metal well lights, or hanging carriage or lantern garden lights.

  • Malibu surface/deck lights

Malibu surface lights and deck lights are versatile and unobtrusive. Antique copper finishes and detailed etchings add visual interest to the fixtures.

  • Malibu specialty lights

Malibu specialty lights include bird bath lights, light house-style outdoor lights for gardens and pathways, and basket hanging lights for tiered garden lighting.

  • Malibu solar lighting

Malibu solar lights use LED (light-emitting diode) technology, providing outdoor lighting that is both brighter and longer lasting. LED solar lights emit more light per watt than incandescent bulbs. Malibu solar lights require neither wiring nor a transformer, which makes them especially useful in large yards or for landscape lighting near water.

  • Malibu landscape lighting accessories

Besides these two forms of landscape lighting, the Malibu line also includes essential outdoor lighting accessories such as halogen bulbs and lamps, mounting brackets, low-voltage landscape cable, and transformers.
